Non-alcoholic margaritas have become increasingly popular in recent years, with millennials leading the way towards mindful drinking and enjoying healthier alternatives to boozy beverages. The days of non-alcoholic margaritas being only in the hand of a designated driver are over; non-alcoholic drinks are now for everyone.

Main Non-Alcoholic Margarita Ingredients

When it comes to non-alcoholic margaritas, the core ingredients include:

Lyre’s Watermelon & Chili Margarita

This potent potation sees sweet and savoury flavours join forces as the chilli-salt rim, juicy watermelon, and jalapenos evoke an endless summer of white sands and blue skies. Take a moment to sit back and relax with what we can only describe as happiness-in-a-glass.

You’ll need:

  • 60mL Lyre's Agave Blanco Spirit
  • 60mL watermelon juice
  • 15mL premium agave syrup
  • 15mL lime juice
  • 2 thin slices of jalapeño round OR ½ bird's eye chilli
  • Cubed Ice

Method:

  1. Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 20 seconds.
  2. Strain into a rocks glass.
  3. Garnish with chilli-salt rimmed rocks and a thinly sliced watermelon wedge.

You’ll need:

  • 60mL Lyre's Agave Reserva Spirit
  • 30ml lime juice
  • 15mL premium agave syrup
  • Pinch salt (optional)

Method:

  1. Pour all your ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 20 seconds.
  2. Fine strain into an old fashioned glass.

Even though there’s lots of scope for variations, it’s the harmonious combination of flavours that go into a classic margarita that has made it one of the most popular cocktails in the world. You’ll need:

  • 45mL Lyre's Agave Blanco Spirit OR Lyre's Agave Reserva Spirit
  • 15mL Lyre's Orange Sec
  • 30mL lime juice
  • 7.5mL white sugar syrup
  • 1 dash orange bitters (optional)

Method:

  1. Combine all your ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 20 seconds.
  2. Salt the rim of a wide-brimmed cocktail glass.
  3. Pour through a strainer.
