Great smell, d
3When you open the bottle, a very nice smokey smell meets you. It got me really excited to try this, but unfortunately the taste disappoints. It's a very watery texture (misses the body and thickness of a real bourbon or whiskey), and besides the smokeyness, there is very little flavour. It's ok to drink mixed in cocktails, but it's not very enjoyable to drink straight. This recipe definitely needs some work.

Good alternative for drinking alcohol.
4It’s not a substitute for actually bourbon but it’s a lovely alternative to drinking alcohol. I prefer it mixed with Coke Zero or on its own over ice in a fancy whisky glass.

A nice mixer
5Really enjoyed this. Like the rum-style drinks, it has a lovely burnt caramel quality to it and smells delicious. I personally like to mix it with tonic, which I know is an unusual pairing but it works for me. Give it a try!

Best whisky alternative but still falls short
3This is the best whisky alternative I have tried, but it still falls very short of replacing whisky for a non-drinker. It does have a nice kick but tastes as though it has been watered down. Adding a mixer like coke made it more interesting.

Work in progress
3It smells absolutely delicious, but….. tasting it on its own I found it disappointing in that it tasted watery, with no depth to it. Goes well with a mixer.
