Good Bourbon substitute with mixer
5I found this a reasonable substitute for Bourbon when mixed with my usual Diet Coke. I needed to stop drinking alcohol for 3 months for medical reasons and was at a loss as to how I would cope in the social situations when I usually drank Bourbon and Coke. It's been my 'usual' for many, many years! After a recommendation, I tried Lyre's American Malt and found it was easy to forget there is no alcohol and I could just enjoy being part of the occasion still.

4Great Product! Incredible actually. The only drawback is I would like to order more but it is never in stock. If I could get my hands on some more, it would have been 5 stars all the way! One of my favorite cocktails is the Old Fashioned and the American Malt works great for that.

5I love this. Mixed with cranberry juice and it tastes like winter holidays. On its own it’s just lovely and delicious. I can’t wait to keep making mocktails with it.

One of the best
4This was one of the first non alcoholic bourbons I’ve had that I immediately repurchased. Fantastic malt taste with a slight warming on the palate at the end. I only give it four stars because the Highland Malt has become my new favorite. This one shines the best though when mixed with coke.

Great for halfsies, not a bourbon replacement though
4The American Malt is delicious when going halfsies to lower the alcohol content, although I was hoping it could stand on its own to completely replace the bourbon in my favorite cocktails. I do like how I can enjoy my half-strength cocktails with little difference in flavor, as it seems to meld nicely with full-strength bourbon. Definitely helps me enjoy old fashions without the negative side effects!

A great drink
5I have tried various non alcoholic bourbons but this one by far is the best! It has a smooth finish and I mix it with Diet Coke. For people who want to mix it with a splash of bourbon it’s also delicious as well. Cheers!
