This product tastes nothing like
3This product tastes nothing like bourbon. I have been making Kentucky Mules which mask the flavor somewhat. I guess it’s not realistic to believe that an alcohol free product will taste like the real thing. American Malt has an interesting flavor but I will not be purchasing it again.

I was pleasantly surprised by
5I was pleasantly surprised by the flavour as well as the feel of the drink on my tongue. It reminded me of a bourbon that had an ice cube melt in it. It's great in mocktails! I got a bit of inspiration from the website for recipes and also watched a few YouTube videos.

Close But Not Quite
3The American Malt had the closest taste to whiskey I have had so far but it wasn't quite there. My issue is I very rarely drank mixed drinks when I did drink and I haven't had a drink in over two years. I am not sure if I didn't receive what I was expecting or my tastes have changed. I prefer my drinks neat but the American Malt either had to be refrigerated or on the rocks. Although I gave a rating of three I believe it was probably between a three and four. I might consider buying it again if I'm unable to find another one I like. I'm hesitant to spend that kind of money for a product that isn't quite what I am looking for. That said, I didn't enjoy the London Dry at all and most likely would not purchase it again unless a new formula was found.

3A good non-alcoholic substitute with a mild taste of bourbon. Not quite as much depth as we hoped but a good alternative to the meatier, alcoholic drink.

A fair Manhattan
3Caramel flavor that can work in a Manhattan with good vermouth and bitters. Very light in flavor. Could be more complex.

5So it's not bourbon, but if you free yourself from expecting an exact imitation, you find that it has a lot to recommend it. It really works as its own thing. Ive been using it for Manhattans and I really like it.
