You can tell it’s not real alcohol, but it’s a really good substitute!
3So I would say that at first the beverage had a strange artificial smell to it. If I had a bit of advice for anyone who wanted to drink this, it would be to add a tiny bit of water and then the malt tastes nearly the same as the real thing!

Works Great in Cocktails.
4This works well for a cocktail, especially if you mix in some real bourbon and some bitters. I like it because now I can have two cocktails on a weeknight with half the alchohol. I find that you can mix 2 pts Lyers to 1 pt Bourbon in a cocktail and it tastes quite good.

Ok, but the Gin is better.
3I was hoping for some more bitterness or wood flavors to come out more. The American Malt was too... smooth and light. Needs a 'kick' that would make you sip it. I tried it with my usual Old Fashioned recipe but excluded simple syrup and doubled down on the bitters, and it was still borderline too sweet to make this a go-to. I might try it with some other, more-bitter cocktails to see if I'll enjoy it more.
