Right flavour but needs more oomph
3The American Malt has all the right flavours and smells good. We have used it mixed with alcohol to make a low alcohol, low calorie drink. On its own it lacks a little bit in the flavour - needs to be a little bit stronger to really match the real thing.

3The malt has the appropriate flavor but was a bit watery and the spicy ending tasted more like cayenne than alcohol. It's great mixed with kombucha or other stronger non-alcoholic beverages, however.

4Probably as close as you can get to the real thing. The smell is undoubtedly like bourbon. The taste is basically there though very light. If you're looking to swap out one drink a week, this probably won't satisfy the burn and taste you're looking for. But if you've given up alcohol completely like I have, this will be a great substitute to sip on and mix that doesn't cause you any angst about going back or any negative effects the next morning. Definitely recommend!
